Have you ever wanted to get rid of an aquarium fish? Well, there is a couple ways to do this without disturbing the ecosystem. One way is to give them to a local pet shop or pet store owner. There is one way to NOT to get rid of your fish. It’s to release your pet into the wild and leave it there. If you do this the pet is most likely to die. Even worse than that if they live then, they will multiply like the lionfish (invasive species). Once they have multiplied it is hard to control their population. Sometimes it is impossible to. One of the reasons it would be hard to control their population is because if the fish is exotic. The native fish wouldn't know if the exotic fish is a predator or their prey, so when they try to figure out if the exotic fish is a predator or prey. It is important that you do not release fish into the wild. It will disturb the ecosystem, native fish and your aquarium fish. Instead of releasing fish you can return the fish to a pet store or euthanasia the fish. Oh and never flush alive or dead fish down the toilet because if it is dead then when it goes into the ocean it might have had parasites on it and other fish try to eat the dead fish then they would get the parasites that the dead fish had. If it is alive then same thing and it will have a very painful death.
